Who we are

Dawam is an internal attendance and HR application for the employees of New Cairo Academy. Accounts are created by the HR department only — there is no self sign-up — and data is processed strictly for the employment relationship.

What we collect

• Employment profile data entered by the employer: name, email, phone, national ID, department, position, salary and payslips.
• Location at the moment of check-in or check-out, to verify presence at the workplace or an approved mission site — and, while a work day is open, when leaving or re-entering the workplace zone, to record mid-shift exits. Location is not read after check-out or outside working hours.
• Device identifier, to bind the account to one device for its protection.
• Attendance history and requests (leaves and permissions) and any complaints sent.

Biometrics

Quick sign-in with Face ID or fingerprint may be enabled. Biometric verification happens entirely on the device through the operating system — biometric data is never sent to or stored on our servers.

How we use data

To calculate attendance and payroll, manage requests, and deliver work-related notifications only. No ads, no marketing tracking, and no selling or sharing of data with third parties. One technical exception: map screens load base-map tiles from public map providers, which — like any map page — may receive the device's IP address.

Storage & security

Data is stored on the employer's servers and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS. The sign-in session is kept in the device's encrypted system store.

Retention & your rights

Attendance data is part of employment records and is managed under the employer's policies and applicable law. To ask about or correct your data, contact the academy's HR department.

Request deletion of your Dawam data

Any employee who uses the Dawam app may ask for their data to be deleted. How to request it:

1. Contact the Human Resources department of New Cairo Academy (in person or through HR's official e-mail) and state your name and employee code.
2. HR verifies your identity; the deletion is carried out within 30 days of the request.
3. You receive a confirmation once it is done.

What is deleted: your sign-in account, the device binding, the location readings recorded at check-in and check-out, and the notifications and complaints tied to the account.

What is kept: attendance, leave and payroll records, as part of the official employment file, for the period required by Egyptian labour law, after which they are deleted. They are not used for any other purpose once the account is closed.
